The Kentucky Early Childhood Standards represent specific learning standard for children through four years of age.  These standards are designed as a framework to assist parents, early care and education professionals, administrators, and others in understanding what children are able to know and do from birth through four years of age. The Kentucky Early Childhood Parent Guides are two parent guides that will help parents identify activities they can do with their children in their daily schedule that will support children's achievement of the Early Childhood Standards. The following parent guides are available: Kentucky Parent Guides Tip Sheet, Kentucky's Parent Guide: Birth to Three Years of Age (Spanish Version), Kentucky's Parent Guide: Three to Four Years of Age (Spanish Version). The Kentucky Early Childhood Continuous Assessment Guide is a companion piece to the Kentucky Early Childhood Standards .  The Continuous Assessment Guide provides support to programs revise and establish a continuous assessment system to measure a child's progress on the Kentucky Early Childhood Standards. The Kentucky Early Childhood Quality Self Study is designed to assist classrooms and programs in self-assessing and planning for continuous improvement in five key areas associated with quality.  The tool is for center based programs serving children from birth to five years of age and is the third in the Building a Strong Foundation For School Success series. Training on the use of HighScope.net was conducted for the Anderson County Early Childhood Early Childhood Center (one of the GSEG pilot sites) staff on August 22, 2005. Chris Boisvert, trainer from High/Scope Educational Foundation, presented on the various uses of HighScope.net for classroom teachers and administrators.
