Assurances:

All local administrative staff (i.e., superintendent, coordinator, principal) have been contacted and agree to release participants for all required trainings, plus one day visitation to another program.

The special education coordinator and principal of each school will attend the last day of SPLASH training (November 5) and participate in the formulation of a local plan for program improvement.

The special education coordinator and principal of each trainee will provide the support necessary to implement that plan.

The special education coordinator and principal will be available during the on-site classroom visit from the SPLASH mentoring teacher to discuss strategies to enhance local services for students with moderate and severe disabilities.
