Standards In Action: Classroom Practice for Students with Disabilities
Standards in Action is a new product from ILSSA designed to help teachers provide their students with meaningful access to grade level content. SIA was developed over a 10-year period by a group of consultant teachers and state education agencies who wanted to create an effective way to customize the general education curriculum for students with disabilities based on their individual need for supports and level of communication. Standards in Action is a practical and easy-to-use set of instructional units, referenced to the National Standards, that includes step-by-step teaching directions, activities complete with adapted worksheets and learning tools, and suggestions for adaptations and modifications.
