Professional Development
Planting seeds so they can grow
The field of education is constantly evolving. As new information becomes available, teachers and administrators need access to it. Staying up to date with these advances can be a daunting task, but ILSSA is here to help by providing a wide range of training and professional development opportunities. Our experience and expertise allow us to customize our programs to address a variety of needs — subject matter ranging from awareness to implementation, time frames ranging from a few hours to a few days to ongoing support, and audiences ranging from state-level administrators, school personnel and educational teams (general and special education teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists) to parents and families. We can adress a wide range of topics, including alternate assessment, positive behavior supports, access to the general curriculum (including adaptations, modifications, and accommodations), collaboration, inclusion, augmentative communication, evidence-based instructional strategies, and universal design for learning.
