REVISED 2nd EDITION (Oct 2009). The Kentucky Department of Education will send revised materials to districts, and Kentucky Adult Education will send revised materials to the adult learning centers.
The
KENTUCKY PARAEDUCATOR ASSESSMENT STUDY GUIDE REVISED 2nd EDITION is designed as a study guide for the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment (KPA). It also provides the applicant or existing paraeducator with information about the role of the paraeducator and strategies for assisting with student instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics. In addition, the Study Guide is designed as an initial step in a paraeducator's professional development and will provide strategies for working with teachers and students in the instructional setting.
If you are applying to become a paraeducator in a school district in Kentucky, review of the guide will prepare you for taking the KPA. Contact the local school district for information about becoming a paraeducator and taking the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment.
