Helping a Student

ParaEducators of Kentucky (PEK) is a grant-funded project located at the Human Development Institute, University of Kentucky. Funded by the Kentucky Department of Education, Divisions of Exceptional Children Services and Federal Programs, PEK develops and provides the following for paraeducators (instructional assistants):
  • On-site professional development
  • On-line professional development materials
  • Technical assistance to local school districts related to paraeducators

Click on Professional Development on the Navigation Panel for additional information about on-site and on-line professional development. On-line professional development for paraeducators is available free of charge. Work at your own pace. Access the modules at any time. On-going, on-line support is available while you are working on a module.
