Guidelines for Trainer’s Credential Listserve
As of May 1, 2008, the Trainer’s Credential listserve will be used only for updates and notices from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, Division of Child Care, and for notices from the Training Into Practice Project relevant to credentialed trainers.
Other announcements and notices (e.g., conferences, training events, calls for presentations) may be published in Trainer Talk, the newsletter for credentialed trainers that is posted quarterly on the TIPP web site, with a notice of posting sent to all credentialed trainers via the listserve. To be included in Trainer Talk, notices must meet the following requirements:
• Be pertinent to early care and education credentialed trainers
• Be no more than 100 words in length
• Include contact information or a website for further information
• Be submitted by the last day of the month prior to publication
(Trainer Talk is published the first week of March, June, September and December)
A Reminder to Trainers Who Direct/Coordinate Programs
According to the administrative regulation, directors, supervisors or employees holding Kentucky Early Childhood Trainer's
Credential shall not train their own staff to meet the required annual licensing or certification training requirements.
An exception is made for Head Start Training Coordinators approved by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services.
