The following training opportunities are provided
through TIPP:
An Introduction to Resources in Kentucky for Early Care and Education Trainers
Two-hour training offered by your local Child Care Resource and Referral Agency and
a requirement for obtaining the Kentucky Early Childhood Trainer’s
Credential.
Fundamentals
of Effective Training Seminar (FET)
This 15-hour seminar addresses
adult learning, training design, training evaluation and follow-up. FET
is a requirement for obtaining the Kentucky Early Childhood Trainer’s
Credential Levels 2-5.
Beyond Fundamentals Training Series
Eight “train-the-trainer” sessions will offer trainers an opportunity
for a more in-depth exploration of relevant topics. 2006-07 BF schedule now available!
Dial-A-Discussion
Topical conference calls offering participants the opportunity
to discuss incorporation of training concepts into their
work environment as well as to share new training ideas.
Trainers Institute
Annual Institute designed for Credentialed Trainers of early care and education professionals
to build on the knowledge and skills that trainers acquired during the FET seminar.
Early Childhood Professional
Development Framework (PDF)
A web-based informational session offered in conjunction with the FET Seminar. FET/PDF provides an overview of the
five key areas of the Kentucky Early Childhood Professional Development Framework, including core content, credentials, training, articulation and
scholarships.
